Ezra Petras has spent his entire life in the poor slums of Harmon City, a town starkly divided by those with wealth and those without it. However, he has spent his entire life dreaming of something greater: following in the footsteps of a legend his mother told him as a child. The story tells the tale of the merchant god Pinith and the Four Treasures of Joy he brought down to the world. Ezra was always determined to be the first one to find them…
Until his mother disappeared, leaving both him and his father in shambles. Ezra aims to support his father however he can, but it becomes clear that there is only so much he can do… So Ezra decides to take matters into his own hands. The Four Treasures of Joy can bring happiness to anyone, and so, Ezra vows to find them even if he is without the mother who guided him to this path so many years ago.
Book Two - Chapter Eleven
The Eclipsed Cascade
Ezra vows to find Pinith’s Four Treasures of Joy, mystical items said to bring infinite happiness to the world. His goal is to return life to his father’s eyes and perhaps search for the mother he has spent the last three years missing and grieving. He follows the legend she once shared with him to the mountaintop town of Prosperity Peak. According to Vivian’s story, that is where Ezra will find the Eclipsed Diamond.
Upon arriving in the city, Ezra finds a rundown village that was once saved from ruin by a legendary merchant. He hears whispers of a woman from decades ago who changed the fate of Prosperity Peak forever, his uncertainty warring with his determination. Even so, Ezra decides to climb the mountain ever higher in search of what it hides. He arrives in town expecting to find an ancient gemstone, but he uncovers something else instead…
