The boundless path beckons…
For years, Evyn Thrinn’s life was perfect. They spent every day following their dreams of plundering for treasure alongside the love of their life, Aether. The two commanded their fearsome ship, The Wandering Eye, across all the seas of Freyoria. They never could have wanted anything more…
But then, Aether falls sick with an illness that rots their body and ruins their soul, and Evyn’s life crumbles overnight. Desperate for a cure, Evyn sets out on a journey to find answers, joining seven others on their various adventures. All the while, their mind is never far from Aether who is sequestered away in the captain’s cabin of their ship. None of Evyn’s allies know Aether is there, and Evyn refuses to let them discover the truth out of fear Aether’s necrotic disease will claim them next.
Evyn is single-minded in their pursuit of Aether’s salvation, casting aside both past memories and current bonds to save the one they love most. An encounter from the past lurks just around the corner, threatening to send Evyn’s understanding of their life into disarray. However, Evyn is certain all will be worth it when they can reunite with the one they love most and return to the life they know, regardless of how much they have to leave behind.
And so, they follow the trail to treasure…

Chapter Nine: Verity and Calamity
The Tale of Rana Celestia, Part Two
Armed with Echoes of Ending, Rana sets a course for the northern town of Snowslight. The thieves who broke into the Abyss Hollow Library are supposedly there, planning out their next heist. Within the pages of the book, Rana has learned of a plan to resurrect the gods and end the world. The only way to see those dark desires do not come to pass is to stop the brigands once and for all by tracking them down and bringing them to justice.
Once in Snowslight, Rana meets two researchers that have also been ensnared in the tangled web of danger the thieves weave. The pair tells of greater jeopardy than the travelers ever could have imagined. Rana begins to bond with the scholars, Erinys and Sirius, as they devise a plan to strike back at their foes. However, corruption lurks around the corner, and their schemes to save Snowslight from danger do not go at all as they had hoped…

After learning of one of his cousins’ whereabouts from his brother, Veon charts a path to Driftspire. There, he hopes to encounter Uika, the only member of the Castus Crusaders who has treated him with true kindness since the fall of their home. Once, Uika dreamed of exploring the world to learn more of her history and culture. Now, her ideal future has arrived thanks to the Crusaders scattering to the winds.
Veon will stop at nothing to convince her to stop the cycle of bloodshed that fuels their family. He believes she is the most likely of the group to listen to reason, and yet, she is no longer the same girl he grew up with. Determined to do all he can to save the Crusaders from themselves, Veon turns his gaze to the library of Driftspire. There, he must fight to save his family and to shatter the mask that binds Uika to the past.

Ezra vows to find Pinith’s Four Treasures of Joy, mystical items said to bring infinite happiness to the world. His goal is to return life to his father’s eyes and perhaps search for the mother he has spent the last three years missing and grieving. He follows the legend she once shared with him to the mountaintop town of Prosperity Peak. According to Vivian’s story, that is where Ezra will find the Eclipse Diamond.
Upon arriving in the city, Ezra finds a rundown village that was once saved from ruin by a legendary merchant. He hears whispers of a woman from decades ago who changed the fate of Prosperity Peak forever, his uncertainty warring with his determination. Even so, Ezra decides to climb the mountain ever higher in search of what it hides. He arrives in town expecting to find an ancient gemstone, but he uncovers something else instead…
Chapter Twelve: Idealistic Healers
The Tale of Raphal Hodoshima, Part Two
After the daughter of his town’s lord falls sick, Raphal plans to find the cure for the terrifying Miasma Blight. All of the ingredients have been gathered save for one: Oaeson’s Vine. In search of the Vine, Raphal travels to Meadowcourt to visit its famous medical school, the Oaeson Academy of Medicine. There, he hopes to learn of the places where Oaeson’s Vine grows so that he might track a strand down and return it to Sandsage.
Raphal hopes for an uneventful trip to Meadowcourt and his old school, but tragedy strikes when one of the young healers under his professor’s tutelage disappears. Given no other choice but to search for her, Raphal and the rest of the travelers seek the missing girl. When they find her, they are quickly hurled into a danger they never anticipated, and Raphal and his new companions are forced to fight for their lives against a massive beast…
Chapter Thirteen: Embittered Blade
The Tale of Anguis Tushar, Part Two
Upon slaying the first of the hunters who destroyed her home, Anguis leaves her mercenary company behind in search of his comrades. Lelantos Graves’ dying words lead her to Reef’s Rock in search of a former dragon hunter by the name of Rundas Buluzi. Anguis’ thirst for vengeance never stills for even a moment, and she refuses to leave Reef’s Rock until she has cut his head from his shoulders.
When she reaches Reef’s Rock, Anguis finds a truly rare sight: a town where humans and dragons live in harmony. However, not all is as good as it seems, and dragons have begun disappearing without a trace. Suspicious of Rundas, Anguis investigates the disappearances out of fear he is involved. Refusing to let him lay a hand on another dragon, she charges off to yet another major battle to slay one of her family’s killers.
