Chapter Summary:

Evyn searches for a cure to the strange necrotic sickness that has befall their lover, Aether, and the journey takes them to the strangely named town of Evyn’s Point. According to Errapel, an apothecary who specializes in illnesses fueled by dark magic lives there. Evyn hopes for a simple trip where they can recruit the apothecary, travel back to their ship, and return to the way their life was before Aether began deteriorating. 

However, Evyn’s past is chasing after them, and the town’s name is no coincidence. Instead, it is an indication of everything they did to honor their home after setting out on their voyages with Aether. As Evyn discomfort rises, they hope to leave Evyn’s Point as soon as possible, but someone refuses to let them go so easily. Forced to face someone they never thought they would see again, Evyn is left wondering if they were truly right to begin traveling with Aether…
